How we check

We do not invent a fact, a name, a price, or a date. If a page does not have a source, it does not get stated as current.

Every fact we post keeps its source and the time we checked it. The line looks like: Source: Santa Rosa County · checked Oct 23, 1:10 PM CT.

Each page shows when it was last checked. If a live beach flag hasn’t been updated recently, we show it as unknown rather than guess. When two official sources disagree, we list both and note which is newer.

Beach flags and storm updates are checked on their own, more frequent schedule.

Accidents, if we publish them later, come from an official feed only: road, direction, lanes, time, and source. No names, plates, or photos of people or vehicles.

We do not scrape Google, Yelp, or Tripadvisor reviews, and we do not publish a blended score or a wait time mined from reviews.
